Aquarium of the Pacific's Southern California Sea Turtle Monitoring ProjectThis all-volunteer project gathers on the shores of the San Gabriel River in Long Beach, CA once a month to count, identify, and document the behavior and overall condition of the sea turtles living there. AOP is continuing to expand and grow this all-volunteer program to include monitoring sites in the Los Cerritos Wetlands, the Carlsbad Agua Hedionda Lagoon, and other sea turtle hotspots in Southern CA.

SeaWorld Rescue's San Diego Sea Turtle Rescue and RehabilitationSeaWorld Rescue houses, rehabilitates, and then releases injured and cold-stunned sea turtles found on both the East and West Coasts of the USA as part of the West Coast Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Stranding Network.
